Notable Metrist-Reported Downtime
Check out these outages that may not have made the news, but these issues caught by Metrist may have affected your company’s app and operations.
Azure
- Azure SQL experienced an incident on the 14th in which CreateSqlServer was not responding from Azure West US for 1 hour, and Azure Blob Storage experienced an incident where Creating storage accounts was not responding from Azure West US for 20 minutes.
- Azure AKS experienced two separate incidents on 14th and 15th February, where CreateCluster was not responding from Azure West US for a total of 2 hours and 26 minutes.
AWS
- AWS RDS (MySQL) experienced an incident where CreateInstance was not responding from US East 1 for 16 minutes.
GCP
- GCP App Engine experienced an incident on the 18th where MigrateTraffic was not responding from GCP US Central 1 for 10 minutes.
Saas/Other
- New Relic experienced multiple incidents on the 13th, where OpenAlertsUI was not responding from US West 2. The incidents lasted for a total of 95 minutes, with durations ranging from 10 to 50 minutes. Then the platform experienced further incidents on 14th, 15th, 17th, 18th and 19th February, where OpenAlertsUI and OpenSyntheticsUI were not responding from US West 2. The total duration of these incidents was 6 hours and 26 minutes.
- Airtable had a major outage from 18:18 UTC to 18:41 UTC on 13th February. Metist does not functionally monitor Airtable, so no further details are available.
- PagerDuty also experienced an incident on the 13th in which Checking for incidents was not responding from US East 2. The incident lasted for 18 minutes.
- Zoom experienced multiple incidents on the 17th in which JoinCall was not responding, for durations ranging from 13 to 34 minutes. Azure SQL also experienced an incident where CreateSqlServer was not responding from Azure Canada Central for 22 minutes. Then on the 19th, it experienced two separate incidents where JoinCall was not responding, for durations of 13 and 38 minutes respectively. New Relic also experienced two separate incidents where OpenSyntheticsUI was not responding from US West 2, for durations of 15 minutes each.
- Envoy experienced an incident on the 16th in which GetEmployees was not responding from US West 1 for 18 minutes.
- GitHub experienced two incidents on the 18th where PullRequests was not responding from US West 1, with durations of 8 and 17 minutes respectively.
